The aim of the MAGISTRATES IN THE COMMUNITY project is:-

To raise awareness in the community of the lay magistracy and its work in magistrates’ court, thereby increasing respect and confidence in justices and the criminal justice system.

In the year 2000 a public awareness programme is being launched in Kent to make the people who live and work in Kent more aware of the work of the lay magistracy. This page concentrates on who is leading this project in Kent and some of the ways this awareness program is being implemented. Please select the appropriate area.
